24p into Vegas question ( don't shoot)

I read some posts a while back that you should shoot in 24pn if I intend to just go to 24p DVD.
So I shot in 24pn some very nice footage, but when I read the white paper on vegas 5.0 it says ( unless I'm reading it wrong) that I should have shot in advanced mode :-/

So how should I go about bringing it in to Vegas? or what template should I use?
I have a vague grasp on the pull down thing but wanted to get some real advise from you guys.

If you capture into Vegas with the capture settings marked to remove pulldown, you'll be able to remove the 3:2 pulldown.

2:3:3:2 pulldown (24pA) is better because there's only one judder (mixed) frame for every 5, but you can still extract the 24p frames from 24pN.
