24P in premiere pro2 (only NTSC?)

I want to capture 24p via premiere pro 2. I notice the only option in the 24P folder is NTSC.... where is PAL?
It doesnt make sense that the rest of the folders are either pal or ntsc but in 24P only NTSC
Any help?
Thanks

The PAL version of the DVX doesn't shoot 24p. I believe it's 25p.

I would imagine you would capture in the regular PAL settings and set the fields to off for progressive scan. This is only a guess because I do not have a PAL camera.

Can anyone reconfirm snackstacks advice?
Would his suggestion be the correct way to capture 24p (dvx100B) on a pal camera? (which yes, captures 25p - i still am learning!)
thanks!

Ogrus, maybe post your question in the DVX technical forum. You might get more looks there.

Premiere offers the 24p presets so the editor can remove the pulldown to give the user true 24 frame editing. But since PAL is already 25p or 50i...I think you just edit in the PAL timeline with no problems.

If I shoot 30p, I edit in a NTSC timeline the same way I would if I had shot 60i. So I guess you should just capture regular, and edit regular using the PAL presets. And leave the fields alone.

PAL is not 25p, it's 50i, when you select any of the PAL DV settings in premiere pro 2 you can choose No Fields (Progressive) from the field order menu (the way it was done in 1.5)
The only option to use 25P in PAL is to do a custom setting of Desktop video and manually set everything to PAL (if you select a similar PAL setting first, the settings will remain and all you have to do is change field order to No Fields)

I haven't tried to export with this settings yet because I'm working on a 1.5 project now, which is another problem (gonna post a question about it if I can't find an answer)
