24p in Premiere Elements?

Re: 24p in Premiere Elements?

Adobe started recently advertising it on their Web site. It's a $99 dollar "lite" version of Premiere.

Re: 24p in Premiere Elements?

huh! well what do you know ! nifty.  at any rate i wouldnt purchase it unless you plan on running into a variety of creative limitations with the product. from the looks of it on the site, and from what i read on the site, its not going to hold up in any professional editing situstions. it appears to be  consumerish all the way. which will likely leave you asking why you bought it after you quickly outgrow it..

oh , i couldnt find any documentation on whether or not it supported 24p. my guess would be it does not.

Re: 24p in Premiere Elements?

..well sure, if it doesnt support 24p it wouldnt know the difference between 24pN or 24pA from any other 60i file.

Its not a progressive capable NLE, so 24pN is going to look a bit better than 24pA would for projects cut on it. Its not going to give you a complete progressive solution but it will still look a bit more filmic that footage that was shot interlaced.
