Chapelgrove Films
Okay, this is going to be a very elementary question, but bear with me.
I have Premiere 6.0, which doesn't support 24fps. I can shoot 24p with my DVX100a and import it into Premiere 6.0, edit, etc. -- but obviously, Premiere converts the footage to 30fps. Which is fine.
My question is -- is there any advantage for me to shoot in 24p instead of 30p? Will the footage look any more film-like simply because it was shot in 24p as opposed to 30p? I was under the impression that the 'film-like' aspects involved the progressive scan and the cine settings of the camera, moreso than simply the frame rate -- but I could be wrong. It would seem to me that if the NLE is converting it to 30p anyway, there's no reason to shoot it in 24p -- but I could be way off base on that. So I'm asking the experts.
Thanks!
