24P in camera vs. in post

I wonder what people's opinions are regarding shooting 24pa in camera vs. creating it in post for certain situations?

I'm going to be shooting in Copenhagen in December, a lot of times indoors with existing light and one on-camera LED light. It can be DARK in Copenhagen in December and I want to maximize the light as much as possible.

Would it make sense to shoot standard to get the most light and clean pictures without noise and then use Cinema Tools to convert the footage to 24p? Would there be a noticeable difference, especially next to the true 24pa footage we already shot last year? (it's a documentary, so scene matching isn't really an issue)

Thanks for your thouhts, or direct me to a link if this has already been discussed ad nauseum and I just couldn't find it.
