the title of this post may not make sense, so I'll explain. I'm editing a movie that was on the web, for practice til I get the hang of Vegas. The movie is called Life Against Memory, I chose it because to me it seems to be the most "film-like". Anyways, the original movie is in 24 fps and plays smoothly, when I finish my own form of editing and render to a .mov file, the movie has an odd subtle blur and very subtle frame rate difference (almost as if the frame rate was reduced a little, but how can that be if the output framerate is the same as the original.) I edit the original footage (which is 24 fps) in a 24p timeline and render it to a .mov file with a 24 fps framerate, when I render the file to a .mov file with 30 fps the difference is hardly noticeable. Can anyone explain why? How come the frame-rate appearance is different if both movies are at 24fps?
