24p footage looks interlaced?

This gets asked A LOT!

1) why would you think HD has anything to do with the DVX?
2) do you not know what your dvx does with 24p?
3) have you read anything, including the manual for your camera?
4) take a look at the stickies for this forum.

Do a search for 24p here -- read all you can... THEN come back with your questions.

Alright so both my capture settings and my timeline is set to 29.98 and im still getting the interlaced look on the moving objects. I have the pulldown checked also.

And I've have been doing research both here and on google for the past two hours so don't give me that answer please.

Read that.

You aren't seeing interlace... you are seeing combined frames. Slight difference in terms. Please learn them.

Think of it this way:

Camera shutters at 24 clicks per second
Tape won't HANDLE 23.98 fps
Tape WILL handle 29.97 only
Camera (post ccd, pre tape) adds a cadence. Simple, 3.2 and Advanced 2.3.3.2 (p and pA)

But BOTH are recorded to tape at 29.97fps.

BOTH have combined frames.

One is easy to remove (advanced)
One is HARD(er) to remove (Simple).

Read read read.
Shoot shoot shoot.
