24P DVD? 29.97? Eh?

OK, I'm shooting 24P, then capturing with Vegas 4, then editing in 29.97. Rendering MPEG2 ar 29.97. Every 5th frame has that odd interlaced look (and no motion).What's the deal?

Is it possible to edit in 24P, and author a 24P DVD with Vegas 4? I'm thinking of getting Vegas 6 anyway, is the pulldown and 24P support much better in the newer version?

WIth Vegas 4.0b or later, yes. If you have prior to Vegas 4.0b, 24p is not supported. Make sure to upgrade to at least 4.0b.

If you have 4.0b or later, then yes, you can edit full 24p and author a 24p DVD.

My thought is that if they JUST introduced 24P support with Vegas 4.0b, then yes, it should logically be even better with Vegas 6.
