I'm pretty sure that the capturing issue I'm having is on the camera side of things, but just in case...
I am using (trying to, at least) a cheapo PV-GS120 to capture 24pA footage in Final Cut Pro 4.5. The camera does not seem to recognize the timecode, because it displays all zeros when I playback the tape.
That means I cannot log individual clips, but FCP is also not letting me Capture Now. (I get the Waiting For Timecode message.)
Is there any way to get around this? Does anyone have some suggestions?
(The GS120 doesn't recognize 24pA, 24p [normal], or 30p, it seems.)
