Ok heres the spiffs

DVX100b
scene file- f5 (24p)

when i go to capture here are my settings in final cut on my mac

Easy Setup: DV-NTSC 24p (23.98) Advanced Pulldown Removal
Sequence Setting: 23.98
System Settings (Play back control) 2:3:2:3
Capture Settings- DV NTSC 48 kHz Advanced 2:3:3:2 Pulldown removal


Why arent i getting true 24 p? in the sequence settings it says my footage is 29.97

You might want to check out the sticky at the top of this forum. The quick and dirty is that 24p should be digitized at 29.97 (film look, but broadcast editing-no Advanced pulldown) and 24pA should be digitized at 23.98 (film look, film like edit, use Advanced pulldown).

can u jsut quicklyy give me the deatils i made, but for 24pa, lik ewut my setings shud be, cuz im stupid and cant find them in that topic lol, thank u!
 
If you shot 24pA then you want DV NTSC 48kHz Advanced Pulldown and edit on a 23.98 timeline.

If you shot 24p then you want DV NTSC 48kHz and edit on a 29.97 timeline.

See the previous comment about F5 vs F6.
