I have Adobe Premiere 2.0 and have successfully edited many 24p projects in the past. For some reason now though, when I try to capture 24p stuff I've shot it captures it as 29.97 instead of 23.97. I can still open and play all kinds of old projects with 23.97 footage. I have the project set to 24p and the sequence says 23.97, but when I capture the footage it interprets it as 29.97. Then if I put it in my 23.97 timeline it wants to render it. I have no idea what is going on here. I've tried recapturing it about 10 times and every time it's the same. I know for a fact that my DVX was set in 24p mode as I checked before and after the shoot...plus I can tell the difference between 60i footage and 24p footage. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't know much about the DVX, but isn't 24p 29.97 footage on tape, whereas 24pa is true 24p footage?
