24p and 60i

Technically, yes. You can edit any mix of footage you like on a timeline, technically. Efficiency wise, no. The catch is that you have to render out half your footage than (if your sequence is set for the 24p footage than all the 60i will require rendering, or vice versa). The work around to it though is to use an offline/online workflow. If you digitize everything at one setting, as offline codec, then you can cut it all together quickly and smoothly on one timeline. Then just use the media manager and do a quick online of all the material once you have picture lock. Maybe not entirely what you'd want to do, but I bet there's less time involved in the end in just having to sit down for a few hours for the online re-digitizing than having to render everytime you change a few frames.

cheers.

To seemlessly put 24 and 30 together you need to make one the other.

To make 24 into 30, just bring it into Cinema Tools and add Telecine - use 3.2 cadence.

To make 30 into 24 your BEST bet is to use Compressor's optical flow technology to create adaptive frames and get the smoothest 24 I've seen yet. I have a droplet you can place on your desktop and drag your 30/60i material onto it. After A LONG render it will look stunning... but it is a long render.

I forget what the file is, but I think it's

Clicking the link will send the file to your downloads folder (desktop). Unzip it and go. Do a small segment test to see if you like. The cool thing about this droplet is you can batch files together and leave it run overnight.

Good luck,
