24p advanced footage

If you have something shot in 24P Advanced but import that into a normal 24P timeline, will FCP give you the red render bars above the clip when drag it down to the timeline since the format on tape doesn't match up to your sequence settings?

24PA is a different story.

Actually, you wouldn't get red render bars unless your hardware couldn't keep up. My Quad Core G5 gives green render bars for this situation. But that's not the point.

Capt'n is correct. If you capture with pulldown on the fly, or processed out the pulldown after capture in Cinema Tools, you're good to go.
