I've been shooting in 24p (ADV) w/ my dv100b and when i presented a project to a professor he said it was a little fuzzy and i told him that i shot with 24p instead of 30 and he said thats why...

is there a certain way to capture things shot in 24p in final cut? or should i stick to shooting 30? :/

Uh???

The only thing that I'm aware of that would make things 'fuzzy' on the DVX 100 shooting 24pa, is the fact that the autofocus mechanism is 'real slow', due to the slower frame rate, and Panasonic engineers just could see their way ot compensate... There could possibly be 'fuzzy' due to more motion blur, that is the difference between 60 fields/second vs 24 fps and that is 1/48 sec. shutter speed...

The other source of fuzzy is from just not focusing correctly, or if using auto focus (asside from the for mentioned slow down...) the auto focus converged on a different plane than where your subjects were...

The other other form of fuzzy is from the fact that the material is show with non-square pixels, and when displayed on a computer monitor, will show that artifact as 'fuzzy'... that's a good reason to go with HD these days...

this can happen when you auto focus with 24pA

you can produce nicer effects without auto focus anyways, so just don't use it. Unless you're shooting sports, don't auto-focus
