24p adv pulldown

I'm using vegas for now. any suggestions on the proper way to do 2:3:3:2 pulldown in vegas with footage that was recorded in 24p Advance mode? so far I'm not having the desired results with mainconcept encoder.

What are you trying to do? And what's wrong with the results you're getting?

when I capture 24p adv. footage into vegas, then render with mainconcept mpeg2 at 29.97 fps, the video comes out looking interlaced really bad. All I want is a nice progressive looking 29.97 m2v file i can import into sonic scenarist.

What's kind of timeline (template) are you working on?

As a general matter, if you're planning to stay within the 60i world, you should shoot 24pN with the THICK detail setting.

does it look bad in your dvd programe or on your dvd?

I don't know if you are having the same problem i was having but check this.
