24p > 29.97

Hi guys. A few months ago, I shot some footage on my DVX100B in 24p advanced mode, so it requires a 23.974 timebase. I shot some good stuff, and a production company I am working with wants to use the footage, however, the footage they are mixing in with mine was shot in 30p. How can I conform or convert the footage to 30p? I have FCS 2 including cinema tools which I think I would use correct?

Actually the 24p to 29.97 magic of FCP only works on a direct playout to tape. So if you play 24p out to a DV tape you'll have a 29.97 version that will work in a 30p timeline.

Wait, I though the framerate is 23.976 and in 24pA the pulldown is present so its timebase is 29.97 at ingest to be backwards compatible with standard monitors and such. So you must have removed the advanced-pull-down with something, no? Just re-add it or use orignal source.

It's not that simple. You don't just re-add pulldown in FCP. The only easy way to get a pulldown is playout to tape. You could use the original footage off the tapes with pulldown unremoved, but that means a re-edit at 29.97.
