24AD capturing issues

When i capture 24AD footage in PP2. I notice that some of the footage will be interlaced in some scenes. Is it possbile that premiere can get confused with the pulldown cadence during capturing? Processes the wrong pull down? I dunno if this makes sense!?!

I always end up recapturing the scenes with interlace.

any ideas?
 
for the record, it's 24pa not 24ad. Just thought I would mention it because it threw me off at first.
About your question. This happenes to be as well. I believe it to be do to either premiere getting confused or there being a trace of interlace footage on the tape used to capture. This happens to me from time to time as well and the best solution for it seems to be to simply recapture as you mentioned.
 
when you start your project, do you select 24pa in the project presets?

for some reason I have noticed that I have a harder time getting a clean capture with PP2 than with PP.
 
I do select 24PA in the project presets! Have alot of problems with PP2. The old PP ran smooth, no trouble at all. Things dont seem to work right with the NEW PP2. Maybe my system just sucks!
