24 or 30 fps Timeline? Suggestions?

We are editing a snowboard video and have collaborated a lot of different footage shot in 24p through 60i. We are having a tough time deciding what this should be edited on...a 24p timeline? 30p timeline? There will be some slow motion, but we want it to look cohesive. Any Suggestions would be great.

Couple of initial questions would be, what camera and what setting did you shoot with? And, what is your desired final output (digital cut, tape, DVD, web)?

cheers.

yeah 29.97 is the timeline to use... the best of both worlds... and if the images are just straight to DVD or TV 29.97 will be the easiest workflow... now the slow motion is a different story... the best slo mo will come from the 60i footage... however, since i assume you will be going with an extreme sports action look for your project, i don't think the 24p in slow motion would be too much irrelevant to your theme. It will look choppy... but im sure it'll fit. good luck!!

yeah!

yeah!

Thanks guys. Great help. I think we are going to go on a 60i timeline. Most of the time the settings on my DVX were 24 and 24pA. Sometimes I shot in 60i when I knew I would be slowing down. Our final output is to DVD. It's called Smorgasbord. Midwest Snowboard Flick. Thanks for the help...any other suggestions for me I would like. !
