24 Effect

I have AE CS3 and use it off and on but not as often as I would like because of other work including websites and Photography but am upping my Video Work and going to learn more AE as I go along.

I need to do the old 24/Split Screens effect for a video.

I know I could put different video sources on different layers and resize to get this effect but am I right in thinking...

If I have:

2 Window Setup Shot:
Window Left - Camera One as a and Camera Two
Window Right - Camera Two

but then want to switch to a

3 Window Setup Shot:
Window Top - Camera One
Window Left - Camera Two
Window Right - Camera Three

.....Expressions can do this more efficiently?

Has anyone used Expressions to do such effects?

Ok after playing around a bit I don't really need to look at Expressions for this.....Keyframes at Position plus Hold Keyframe can create this for me.
