23.98 timeline....need to make VHS tape

Thanks to the various on-line forums I have gotten as far as understanding how to capture and edit material shot in the 24P Advanced mode of a DVX100A.

We are going to film out at the end, so we are looking at editing on a 23.98 timeline.

In the meantime I need to make a trailer and make some VHS tapes.

Any words of wisdom about how to go about getting the 23.98 timeline footage onto a VHS tape? Do I have to re-apply a 3:2 pulldown or the likes thereof and if so how?

Hook up a DV camera. Set playback prefs to add 2:3:2:3
Set DV cam to VCR mode. Go to Print to Video withwhatever functions you want (color bars, etc) and hit record on your DV camera vcr. Once copied there you can plug output from camera into VHS vcr and record the vhs tape. I supopose you could pass analog out directly from the camera to the VHS deck.

Cheers very much-

it was the playback setting that I didnt know existed.

I thought I had to make another 29.97 timeline etc etc etc
