2012 is shaping up to be an incredible year of cinema.

Can't seem to track it down but he also said somewhere that 80% (or more) was shot on the 5D.

I stand corrected. Here's the breakdown by camera:

It looks like 75% made it into the final film. An earlier tweet indicated 80%.

F950 was used for aerial shots.

Dark Shadows & Frankenweenie from Tim Burton

Rock of Ages from Adam Shankman

The Hobbit from Peter Jackson

"Underworld: Awakening"

The last one was so disappointing because the same team who did the first 2 wasn't on board for the 3rd. It looks like the team is back for this new one. And Kate was excellent in the first two, I knew the first one would suck cause she wasn't in it, but besides her I think the director/writer did a great job with the first two. Looks like he's back as a writer on this one but he's not directing.

Also Snow White and the Huntsman (which is not on the list). It's from a fave upcoming director, Rupert Sanders. Director of many of the halo commercials: http://www.rupertsanders.com/commercials.html?ref=0

The preview for this looks amazing. I'm stoked for this one. Kristen Stewart in this to me is a bit of a disappointment, but Charlize Theron and the Thor dude? And the vibe this movie is putting out? Sign me up!

Yea, I think it's pretty telling that Stewart does not have a single line of dialogue in the trailer.
