200 Watt ECObulbs in China lamp

I discovered my local DIY sells 200 watt ECObulbs for about eight dollars. I bought on and put it inside a China ball. It seemed to put out a nice soft glow and was incredibly cool. A 250-watt photoflood, although brighter, produces a lot of heat I am worried, with a small crew, a fire could be possible with high heat close to paper.

Has anybody shot with this bulb in this manner and are there any pitfalls I should be aware of?

Thanks in advanced for any input.

The size of the lantern also makes a difference. 12 inch ball is too small. Better to go 18 or even 24 inch. I have put a 500 watt light inside a 24 inch, with no problems. Just make sure the bulb is in the center of the ball, and not anywhere near the walls of the china ball.
If your really worried about a fire, some fabric stores carry a fire retardant spray, that you can spray inside the lantern.
P.S. Don't leave the chinese lantern unattended, for long periods of time with the light on. During shooting, just keep a eye on it, and during breaks, look to see if the lantern is turning brown anywhere..
