I'm trying to put together a mac editing system and I was thinking about how I should setup my Hard Drives.
I want to get the Quad G5 and 2 Maxtor Onetouch 1 TB drives. I will hook one up to the FW800 port and buy a PCI FW800 adapter and plug the second drive in there.
So effectively, I bought myself 2 TB of DVCPROHD storage for about $1,500.
Is this setup ideal or is it a waste of money? How would it compare to other 2 TB setups in terms of speed? Thanks!
