2 frame delay in 24PA?

I have imported all of my clips shot in 24PA. When I play them in the viewer they play fine. I do not notice a delay. Should I still adjust the frame thing to prevent a delay even though I do not notice one?

Re: 2 frame delay in 24PA?

Do you own a 100 or 100A? It is a known issue to have some audio delay, 100 being worse than the DVX100A. I believe FCP have a feature to compensate for this audio delay but don't know exactly how it is done.

Yea I have the 100 and someone already told me how to go about fixing the delay, the thing is that I don't notice it. The audio matches the video and I DID shoot it in 24p Advanced.

So how do you fix the delay, in Vegas that is. I am soon going to own a 100 not 100a. Thanks for anything.

Yes, it is out of sync on DVX100 (not 100a). Not too noticable with dialog at real speed but if you have a clapper or other specific sound step through frame by frame and you will see it.

Check this out.

For FCP and DVX100 drop the DVX100 sync plugin from the FCP extras folder on disk to the Application Support folder. After capture you can go under tools and it will apply a 2 frame sync shift to the audio.

DVX100a doesn't need this.
