2 Day render time???

If your trying to render a project that runs about an hour and 40 minutes and it says its going to take 2 days to render, is that legit? If not, what might be wrong to cause something the need to render for 2 days? I am asking this ? for someone who is dealing with the issue right now.

I had to render something that took more than a day, but that was on an iMac G3 w/ OS 9 and FCP 3 and a long time ago. What are your system specs? Also make sure you select only what needs to be rendered and nothing more ...

What exactly are you trying to do? What machine and versions are you using?
If you're using a very intensive compressor along with a lot f effects then it mght be possible although most effects are now running fairly quickly.
Also most time predictions in software is very rough when it first starts the render. Let it run for a while to see if it's accurate.

When it first starts rendering it says it will take a long long time. Kind of like when you're about to go on a long walk and you say to yourself "this is going to take me days." But then you go out and do it and your predictions of how long it will take you change. Computers are like people.
