2 cams on one gimbal

Could anybody see a scenario where one could put 2 cams on zhiyun crane or similar. I've read about guys sticking a go pro on top of full size cam. I was thinking a couple dslrs.

The size of the camera is going to be the limitation: one camera on top of the other will be too tall, both side by side will be too wide.
On a Zhiyun Crane, maybe two RX100 cameras, nothing bigger than that. On a (much) bigger gimbal, two a6500 bodies with light lenses may be an option.
Personally, I'd just shoot 4k and cut-crop in post if necessary.

Interesting. What would you do with two cameras on one gimbal?

Because everyone wants the "two-for-one" deal nowadays... ; )

But I do see some local news guys do it sometimes. They have a GoPro mounted on the top of their lens hood(those shooting with full size ENG cameras) so they can get a wide shot while they're shooting, too.

I've done that here and there, although I had a Go Pro mounted on my the hot shoe of my C300, not a full sized ENG camera. The editors actually used a few of the Go Pro shots in the broadcast 30 minute special on Fox, the shots didn't look too out of place after color correction. It's a good way to get more coverage in run & gun and BTS situations where you can't shoot two cameras because of various factors but could still use more coverage. Kind of a hack but usefull sometimes.
