Anyone have one? I'm thinking about it. The 1.6x is a bit cheaper.

Just got it...it is a heavy beast, but VERY sharp!

i could be wrong, but i think the test of a lens os how sharp it is at it's widest, things tend to look sharper at full zoom

I saw it at a show in Denver yesterday. It was not mounted on a camera though. Very nice but the rep pointed out it was too heavy to use without rail support. It had a front thread of 103mm (he said) and they are also selling UV filters with that thread. They are also selling a mattebox and rails in the $1600 range (as quoted by the rep).

It comes with a rails adapter with a rubber "shelf" that the lens sits on. I definitely wouldn't want to use it w/o it.
