Two weeks ago i had my first try at shooting people with artificial light. I had 4 girls who were just awesome in their way of cooperating with me.

Below you find the first three pics that I post-processed. More will follow. Hope you like them and I would love to get some feedback. :)

My turn to envy your models Phillip! First and last are my favourites. The model in the first picture on the right, seems so natural - love her pose. The other one is too, but the right one catches my eye.

I like the lighting in the last image as well. Good job!

Thanks Kegan. :)

The one in the first pic is just your type, isn´t she?

I dig the composition in all three. Not a big fan of the post work, but I like the direction and think these are pretty cool overall. Nice work.

Thanks for commenting alveraz. :)

The post... :D I´m always testing.

I think I will follow the principle of #3 on the others.

That sounds good, 3 is the best regarding post work i think. but i'm a newb with post work, just commenting from an aesthetic pov. good job.

First thing I thought, poor people. Why, because I thpught that I was reading a post in the cafe and when I read the title, you can imagine.

then when I realised I was in the photo forum.... they are very stylish, I like them.

Hey <pt> are you gonna sell that crack? ^

Being more serious, the third one was my fav and looks like it could be in a magazine.

The third pic is the bees knees. I'd like to see the first two without the selective color. And I'd like to see more crack here on DVXUser. Preferably from the ladies.

Thanks but no I won´t give you the first two without the selective color. :D

I´m not quite sure what you guys mean with "crack"?!

Hey pt, wish you would have shown this one first. It's the strongest one of the bunch! Great composition, life, light and texture. I'm even partial to the post work here. It's as if the dark, brooding qualities are in conflict with life. Even the bar shadows give the subtle presence of an enclosure. It's like a ballerina dancing in a prison cell. I dig.

My only very minor problem is your name placement. Feels imposed and is also distracting to the eye. Don't be clever, put it in the bottom corner, and smaller, imho. Bravo!

Agreed. And fix your horizontals!

Third one above is real nice, but the lighting on her face is very harsh and unflattering. Obviously you were battling the sun but a bit of screen would do wonders here. Or a big softbox in close on the shadow side.

Wow, thanks alveraz. I just thought it looked quite atmosperic. Thanks for the story behind it. :D

The name placement... I will work on that and -dougspice- of course on the lighting, too.

I like this one too. It's got a nice feel to it. Is she a dancer? I only ask because over the past few months, I did a lot of dance stuff and it just looked similar.
