#1Box Office Hit in the US last week was a zero budget horror film shot on ZOOM!

I love filmmakers four walling films to an audience but this seems like going to a whore house and bragging about it. A little sad, a little gross and unnecessary.

Yeah but now you're talking about their movie. Mission accomplished

I was hoping we had gone away from the spunky indie story of maxing credit cards, sleeping in ones car, selling an appendage headline filmmaking back to whether the film is any good or not. This time of year I talk about the guy who can eat eighty hotdogs, doesn’t mean I want to see a film made by him. I hope the film is great and I wish these guys well.

I'm more likely to see a movie by the hotdog eating champion than somebody I've never even heard of. You can make the greatest movie in the world but that doesn't mean it will make it to market. Part of the success of Paranormal Activity was its novel marketing strategy. But I'll admit - I'm surprised to find myself arguing this case. In my heart of hearts, I agree with you.
