1920x1080 60P editing

Hi

I am trying edit my niece's graduation clip 1920X1080 60P , but found that it is impossible to edit presisely because the preview too slow. is there any trick such as edit in lower resolution or any other solution so that I can edit easily ?. My PC spec P4 xeon dual core CPU 3.6G , XP professional SP3, 4GB ram, vegas pro 10, video card 1MB ram, 1TB hard drive.

About the only thing you can do is change the preview quality -- try Draft.

I aslo found that on the VASST.com they have the plug-in Gearshift for Sony vegas here is the link http://store.vasst.com/store/sony-vegas-plug-ins/gearshift.aspx

You can edit in SD then render in HD after that very usefull tool .

Depending upon the format your footage was shot, you may be able to use an intermediary codec such as CineForm NeoScene. CineForm NeoScene will convert highly compressed AVCHD to CineForm avi files. AVI files take up a lot of harddrive space, but since they are uncompressed files, they are much easier to edit on computers that are having difficulty with compressed HD formats.
