Hi all, possibly a noob question here but I figured I'd ask. I used to use a Sony cx550v camera that records at 1920x1080 60i at 24mbps, but I'd since bought some new Sony cx560v cameras that record at 1920x1080 60p at 28mbps. In both cases I make some footage intended for website use so I convert them to 30p using Vegas Pro 11. I'm noticing that the result footage definitely looks different. The best way to explain it is that the footage from the 550v seems to be clearer to where say you are panning the camera across some trees, you can still make out detail on the trees in your periphery vision. The footage fron the 560v on the other hand seems to be coming out blurry or jittery, where you can't see detail in the trees in your peripheral vision areas until the camera stops panning.
So my question...is this normal, to where converting 60i footage to 30p will look better than converting 60p footage to 30p, or do I maybe just have some settings wrong in Vegas? I've tried with various codecs and resolutions and the results are always the same.
