16x9 with Letus35 possible???

I am the proud new owner of the dvx100b (I know I'm kinda late to the party :)) I am going to purchase a Letus Extreme. Is it possible to get a clean 16x9 image while using the Letus? Not squeeze mode or letterbox but something along the lines of an anamorphic adapter. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If your camera shoots 16:9 it will capture whatever is projected onto the GG. This is something that is not about your adapter, but your camera.

The dvx100b ony shoots native 4:3 and has a squeeze mode for 16:9, is it possible to use a 16:9 photography lens on the front of the letus to get a clean true 16:9?

What type of lens are you talking about?
Do you mean an anamorphic lens?

First of all... anamorphic lenses (lenses that squeeze the image directly into a lens) are typically Cinema lenses. They cost a lot more than the price of your DVX100B. They also are typically PL mount lenses which raises the price of your Letus Extreme as it is.

So... you'd be better off to buy a HVX than mess with this idea.

Unless you have another type of lens in mind. I'm curious to know what you're thinking.

No, because the sensor just won't "see" that image that's being projected by the lens since it's 4:3 shaped. All you'll get is a 4:3 cropped FOV.
