16X9 still in FCE comes out 4X3

I am trying to export a freeze frame from my HDV 16X9 project in FCE4. I have no trouble getting a freeze frame in the proper ratio for use in the project. But when I try to export the still image in Quicktime Conversion, it comes out as a squashed 4X3. I can't figure out why it doesn't come out in the proper aspect ratio.

Might it have something to do with my sequence settings or my capture settings not matching up somewhere?
 
Your HDV project uses rectangular pixels, so your resulting still frame will be 1440x1080. You'll need a photo editing application in order to manually resize the still to 16x9 (1920x1080) with square pixels.
