16x9 dvd export settings help?!!!?!!?!!!?!!

[Neil vd Walt]

we using adobe premiere pro1, the footage was shot in 16x9, and we are trying to 'export to dvd' but are having trouble. when placed on dvd and played on a dvd player, the sides are cut off. it seems as if it is enlarged but the hight is perfect. we also looked at the settings on the dvdplayer itself, but can not find the perfect setting so that it plays correctly.

can someone desperately help us (we are on our deadline) all we need is the correct settings for pal dvd export in 16x9 format, so that the display on the tv is perfect?

thanks a lot,

appreciate any assistance...
