is there any reason why a 16mm adapter is favorable over a 35mm one? If not, do a search for "35mm" there are tons of threads and stickys about it. Also try http://homepage.mac.com/marlene.mac/iMovieTheater21.html which has do it yourself videos.

There is no such thing as a 16mm adapter, as far a I know. But you do get an image that is much more filmic using these adapters, and has been said by many that it resembles a more 16mm look rather than 35mm look.
