16:9 to 4:3

I shot some stuff with my HVX200 at 720 24p 16:9. I'm using FCP 6 and want to know how to export at 4:3 to fit a TV screen with no bars.
Thanks

You could import the files into a 4:3 project (timeline) and use scaling to eliminate the bars. Naturally you will lose the edges of the frame also.

Its called pan-n-scan. You want to put all your footage onto a 4:3 timeline and then go shot by shot and reframe it all as you're going to have edge cropping (so you need to recompose the image if you don't want people's faces getting cut in half or the like. Then you can export a nice full frame 4:3 movie/dvd/tape.

cheers.
