Hi guys.
I've shot footage 4:3 and I've framed for 2:35:1. I want to make a widescreen dvd where the footage will play in 2:35:1. I've heard folks say that I can stretch the footage in fcp.
My question is, how exactly do I accomplish this?
I believe that I need to transfer the footage to an anamorphic sequence but the "sides" of the frame are cut off.
Would I still have to apply the widescreen matte filter.
Please explain to me in laymans terms.
Also, if I play the dvd footage back on a non widescreen tv will it display the proper 2:35:1 frame or will the footage have to be displayed on a widescreen tv to see the 2:35:1 aspect ratio.
