16:9 output to Beta SP?

Hey everyone -

I'm hoping this is the right place to post, but if I'm in the wrong spot, please advise where it should go. Also, I'm hoping I'm using the correct terminology.

Anyway, just had a short accepted to a fest that only will exhibit in Beta SP. If the short was shot on DV and brought in 16:9 anamorphic, will it be squished when it's outputted to Beta SP? I think I heard from someone that the projector will be able to "unsquish" it when it's displayed.

Will I be better off letterboxing it? Any assistance with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

first, i would be asking the fest if they accept 16x9 anamorphic or if they want it letterboxed within a 4x3 frame.

the form actually has a section where i'd have to specify what format it's in -- 4:3 or 16:9. i'm assuming that means they take both, but i'll confirm with them. thanks for the reply.
