16:9 export

Hi,

I have a macbook on which i had final cut, but now i finally bought a mac pro. So i uninstalled FCP on the macbook and installed it on the MacPro. So far so good.

I use a DVX100BE, so i make footages in PAL progressive 25fps, and i use the squeeze mode for 16:9.
Capturing is no problem, making my cuts in FCP2 is no problem (see screenshot) .... but now comes my issue:

Whether i export in Quicktime or use the quicktime conversion, doesn't change the fact that it exports in 4:3 (sqashed image since the original is squeezed 16:9 footage)

I have looked in the sequence settings, it seems fine to me ... and use DV PAL anamorphic setting to export, and yet ... everytime, it outputs in 4:3 ....

What's the setting that i am missing?!
I used to work under my macbook, so it's certainly just a setting somewhere, but WHERE? (see screenshots for my settings)

Please help!
Regards,
Kat

Bravo! you have solved my problem ...

and yet I can't help thinking that it's absurd, because that means we have to do it for ever single file we export ... why can't it be set automatically in the export settings in FC? Isn't it obvious that we want our productions to look like what we have designed? :undecided

hum ... anyway ... THANKS!

regards,
k

one more thing ... when i just capture footages from my DVX100, the original captured movie files look fine in quicktime from the start, no settings necessary... if Final Cut can set it correctly for the captured footage, why can't it set it correctly for the exports ... just an understanding issue here ...
