16:9 Encode Settings for Sorenson from Avid Xpress

Hello,
I have a wedding to shoot and im using a DVX100B Camera. My client wants true 16:9 and not letterbox. I practiced shooting using "Squeeze" on the DVX100B. I digitized footage to my Avid and then exported sequence QT setting it a Native Dimension into Sorenson.
In Sorenson I used so many compressions. NTSC 720X480, 16:9, Bottom Field First, 7200 Total Data Rate.
I also tried HD_1920X1080 and used 30 FPS, 16:9, Bottom Field First, and even brought the Total Data Rate to 10000. Both of these I use stream type elementary because im authoring on Sonic ReelDVD which reads .MPV.
I brought my output compression into Sonic ReelDVD. Put my settings at 16:9 and made a DVD. The DVD looks really bad! A lot of pixelations, looks fuzzy(somewhat blocky). I never had problems when when I shoot Normal(4:3) on my DVX100b and exporting to Sorenson, then authoring in Reel DVD. In 4:3 my footage looks flawless. I cannot figure out the 16:9.
Please anyone...can you give me some good advice to make 16:9 shot in "Squeeze" mode going though Avid Xpress Pro HD-Sorenson-Sonic ReelDVD that looks as good as my 4:3 output on DVD.
Thanks
Joe C

Export your sequence, choose mpeg 2, set your settings to 7000 kbps CBR 1pass. Set aspect to 16:9, and set framerate to 29.97 interlaced bottom field

sorenson makes the .mpv file (thought thats what you said you needed...?)

Not sure why you would think VBR is better than CBR....? VBR lowers the bit rate when possible, while CBR constantly delivers the high quality bit rate from start to finish...
