16:9 DVD player & shoulder mount for DVX100

This was a lot of part mixing and trial and error to get the LCD mount right. I think I saved about $1,000 on a 7" 16:9 LCD monitor by using a $89 DVD player! I duct taped a thick mouse pad around the shoulder mount (not shown - paint is drying). The great part about the shoulder mount "handle" is that it twists left an right so that I can set it on a table. I plan on adding a bicycle handbar grip to that.

I'm getting the anamorphic adaptor. Right now the 4:3 image appears stretched on the 16:9 screen. BUT, what's great about that is when I get the anamorphic lens the image will appear true 16:9.
