Stop in and looked at TV's today. I saw how they work using 16:9 and 4:3. The salesguy was real helpful. First of all I will be buying a 16:9 Sony WEGA hi-def 30" TV. What a great TV. Hi-Def is awesome.
My thoughts are to now either wait for what I think Barry called the "gold standard" 16:9, 24p, hi-def or buy somethink like the Sony Z1U. The guy at DVFilm said the video to film transfers are the best he has seen(using the F1).
I want 16:9 and 24p and I don't want to use the anamorphic adapter that people say are hard to use and are sold cheap used. I'll probably what awhile to see if panasonic is going to come out with something else, if not I'll go with the Sony. It looks awesome on TV and it will be able to transfer to film.
The sales guy today said HD players will be out in about 6 months. I look for the market to change pretty fast so I hope Panasonic changes too. (Jan any help here?)
But then I could change my mind again!! But I have the time so why rush,,,,
