15mm rods?

Hi everyone,

I've been looking at various metal stock, stainless steel and aluminum, for 15mm rods, and everything I've seen is a fraction of a millimeter less than 15mm or a fraction over 15mm. Any suggestions about which way I should go, over or under?

I would definately go for the just less than 15mm. The Mattebox or 35 mm Adapter has provision to Tighten on a slightly less Diameter of 15mm.

Hi Syncman,

Your answer works for me! I figured the smaller size would be best, but I wanted to find out if anyone had dissenting opinions in favor of the larger.

Now the question is, are you using UK millimeters or US millimeters?

If you go smaller, you can always put shims or tape on it to make it fit snugly. If it's too big....no dice. Get the smaller one.
