im getting $150 by the end of this wk. i really need a case for my baby (dvx100a). do you think i should put her in the pelican 1550 or 1600. i like the 1600 for the space, but the 1550 is carry on legal for the plane. grrrrrrrrr having a hard time! someone help me! please

Besides the DVX what else do you plan on putting in there?
The 1550 is a big enough case for me.

batteries, remote, extra tapes. just the basic stuff.

I'd go for the smaller case then. If you're going to have a mattebox or additional lenses or something, the room of the bigger case is nice. But I have a 1620 and it's absolutely absurdly massive. The 1520 may be all you need (and has wheels). The 1550 is plenty big enough for the basics.
