15 year old kid with an awesome movie trailer voice.

The kid's name is Adrian and he goes by Voicetron. Apparently he was doing this movie trailer voice since he was 12.

Kid's good. I couldn't stop thinking of Pablo Francisco (his obviously left an impression on the kid). Loved the Patrick Star Fish one. He needs to work on the British accent though (even i can do a better one :D, probably because of too many Guy Ritchie movies...)

Well, I think if his first take was legit it's okay. I think it was enhanced (take that as you will) judging by the rest of his material. Yep, he's a 15 year old and acts like it. He doesn't have any range of character voices at all, not yet anyways. Imo :)

He has a shot at it if he works hard at it. He's a far shot from being there yet. With all due respect.

I'd say. That's some pretty fancy equipment for a fifteen-year-old.

The equipment there was just for looks and doesn't belong to him. Also the Sputnik mic was borrowed for this video. The only thing was used was the mic, a Blue iCicle which was directly imputed into a usb port. Compression was used because there was no mic popper. The other voices was just supposed to be for fun and not taken seriously. The trailer voice was the main feature of the video. There's another video of him if you check his youtube page where he just does the trailer voice filming with his iphone. The only difference is the sound quality. The kid has skills but I understand he still has some practicing to do before he perfects anything.

Are you really doubling down on bagging on a 15 year old kid? Unless you're another 15 year old kid, give it a rest.

No, I think I've been pretty good at giving credit where credit is due, regardless of age. I can give you many of my posts that support that if you like.

No, I'm telling it like I see it. What part of my post don't you agree with and we'll go from there. I respect your opinion and point of view. Let's discuss it.
Convince me I'm wrong. Fair enough?.

//alright. I admit now that this was pretty disrepectfull on my part. Was that the issue?

...Yep, he's a 15 year old and acts like it....

Kids get treated differently than adults.

He's working hard and he has the future ahead of him. That's wonderful.

Let's move along.

Let me give you some insight into sort of why I responded the way I did. Bare with me for a bit...

Let's start with this post about a day before you posted yours....

http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?280286-Need-a-voiceover-for-your-trailer-Check-this-kid-out

Now you can see that I didn't jump on the kids back because he was 14.

These days I think sometimes with kids becoming famous overnight from posting on youtube, like Justin Bieber and possibly others...
...Avril Lavigne was 16 when she hit gold, in theory (It wasn't until a couple years later that she actually made an income, after paying off everyone else first.)
...that sometimes kids may think they can post some of their talent and hit it big. And they can. There's TONS of kids, little kids, 5 years old, all kinds, that have an amazing talent.
Maybe they think or dream that they'll be discovered, get rich overnoght and live happily ever after. That's all fine and natural and everything but...

...that's not real life.

And 'some' of these kids, even though they have a lot more talent than most, will still have to work hard to make a living at it. I just don't want people, well, I would prefer that they get the same kind of criticism that they might get from here like entering a dvxfest for example. Honest, helpful, professional criticism. I don't want these kids, like the one in the video here to think that, ""I'm, ready"". And I don't think everyone saying "AWESOME'' is going to help the kid one iota.

So that's why I was harsh on that kid, because, he'd better get used to it now.
He's a great kid I'm sure.

//btw, here's a recent post I made in another cafe thread a few days ago. I got tons more man. :) I have nothing against kids.

It's all good, Gord.T. I'm sure you mean well.

Yes, kids, like all of us, will be frustrated by reality at times in the future... but while they're kids, let them dream and dream big. After all, that's by far the toughest thing to re-find as adults, the passion, the hope for our dreams. Without that the kids will for sure not be the next Scorsese, Lavigne, or Obama. And indeed obviously most won't reach those levels; but for sure they'll have no chance of reaching them if they don't dream big from the start.

Yeah, I agree. Was I too harsh? Probably so. I'll try and keep that in mind in the future.

I'm glad we at least met in the middle somewhere. I'll try and be nicer next time. :)
