143%

You can’t speed up a “Track” you can only speed up an “Event”. Just Ctrl+Drag the right edge of the event to the left until the % indicator reads 143%.

I don't think that ctrl+draging will give you a percent, but if you right click on the event, and choos "velocity envelope" you and then set that envelope to exactly 143%

Yes, but unfortunately he can't do that on the audio clips ... only video. I'm guessing his video clip has been sped up to 143%, and he's wanting the audio to match in tone ... I'd suggest what the others have ... just press control & drag the end of the clip in, which will speed it up ... match the sound for what's going on with with just what you see/hear.

Using CTRL-Drag, you CAN speed up audio clips. If you turn on View - Active Take Information, it will also show you the percentage speed change in the audio event.

I bet sony did not incllude features lke that for audio intentionally. i read in an article on vegas that it had some of the best audio capability of any software. I wonder if its to keep people from using the software to edit audio, and prevent them from buying Soundforge, or Acid or something...

I wouldn't be surprised ... why say that one software can meet nearly all your needs, when you'd rather have people buy all different kinds of software for specific purposes ... you're right though, Vegas can do a LOT of what Acid & Soundforge can do combined.

EDIT - Okay, so I just tested that out on the short I'm working on for Hero Fest ... VERY COOL TIP, INDEED!!!
