PLEASE is there anyway that I can recover footage from this ?

I really dont want to have to render another 140 hours.

Wow, thats quite the render. Though, nothing usable will ever take 140 hours of rendering, unless you are using an outdated system, with minimal specs.

I would have to agree, a 140 hour render is absurdly long. Can you break this project up into a few smaller chunks? I have rendered projects with TRTs of nearly 2 hours that didn't take anywhere near 140 hours to complete, perhaps over night, but almost a week?

I should probably add I was rendering to an external hard drive - does that have anything to do with the amount of time required taking so long?

Also my computer is a bit older - its 2.4ghz with a geforce4ti600 but it does have 1 gig of ram.

That is a really bad idea! Surprised that it got that far.

I render on external hard drives all the time, granted a different NLE but still, I've never rendered anything that took more than 44 hours. And that was a feature done in chunks.

My comp is a p4 1.6ghz and i render cc, efects, etc and it takes about 3/4 hours for every 30minutes!
all you can do is re-render
