1 year or 25th year, it's all worth celebrating ... it's just about never throwing in the towel, no matter how tough or mundane things get at times.

Jim, I LOVE your comment about sustaining her illusions of my potential, lol! I feel you there.
Words of wisdom, both of you. This July, my inlaws will celebrate 50 years. On their 25th, I asked for the permission to marry their daughter. I thought they were old then. Now I am in their place, marrying off my oldest - how things change:beer:

Congrats, Norm!

Four years in September (lots of September anniversaries on here I noticed). My parents just celebrated number 40 on April 1.

Congratulations Norm, to you and your wife. It only gets better!

My wife and I will have been married 25 years this August. And... we dated for 5 years before we were married. And the honeymoon isn't even over.

God bless you and your family.

I was an infantryman in the Army for five years and I was reporter jumping in and out of combat zones for 15 years. And marriage is by far the single hardest thing I've ever done.

And most rewarding.

I don't deserve her for a minute, but I thank God constantly for the best best friend I could have ever imagined.

"I do what I do every day to sustain her illusions of my potential." -- Right on, brother, that a keeper!

Congrats and God bless Norm.

ok so i wasnt paying attention when I posted clicked 1-5 and submit....I meant to click less than 1 year, but I am close to 1 year.... May 27. 19 days left.

i have the greatest girlfriend. ever. yet, marriage scares the hell out of me. alas.
Oh don't be so paranoid.

I have the greatest girlfriend too and I've been married almost 14 years.

Yes, that was a joke :) .

I don't have a girlfriend. Marriage may not be for everyone but my wife is the most compassionate, loving person I've ever met who has made a profound difference in my life.

Congratulations Norm and may the second half be better than the first.
