12V DC Charger for DVX/HVX? Or Dual Charger?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has found a well made, reliable 12V DC charger for the D16/D28/D54 batteries for the DVX/HVX?
I understand Panasonic does not make this charger...I'm not sure why as many of our customers ask for DC charging.
Also are there any decent dual battery chargers available?
If anyone has suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Years ago I bought a cheap little "Ambico" Lithium-Ion charger for my Sony PD100 that has an insert that makes it accessible to many batts including Sony Panasonic. it is both AC & DC with a car charger. Seems to work fine for both batteries. Model #V0916
 
VariZoom's VZ-DBC Dual Universal Battery Charger may be the answer.
It charges two batteries at once and comes with AC Adapter and DC Car Charger.
Priced at $39.99 directly from VariZoom's website.
I haven't used it personally, though.

I have just been on a trip takeing HD video with my HVX of wildflowers in the bush West Australia. I have a big prob no 12v battery charger, I bought a Lenmar Mack1 thinking it would do but there is no adaptor for the HVX battery. I just had to use a 12v to 240 ac inverter. not very practical as it flattens car battery. I have 12v adapters for every thing else ie. notebooks etc but not HVX ( I think a bit of a over site, as a lot of folk need these chargers. Please Please any help.

I posted a message here that the VZ-DBC is not compatible with the HVX batteries, actually it IS compatible. My mistake. So that is one affordable option for 12V people.

The new Dolgin charger listed below is interesting: metal case, LED indicators, "Dynamic Power Management". $259 versus $39 for the VZ-DBC. It certainly looks like it's built to last.

My favourite 12V method is the tiny Hama baseplate with a built in charging circuit and an LED indictor that can be wired directly to a small solar panel - lightweight and can go anywhere (when the sun shines). They are available for Sony batteries, I would love to find one for the Panasonic. Small is beautiful.

We just started shipping our new 2x charger. It is available directly from us, Spec-Comm and shortly at the DVXuser shop (as soon as Jarred updates the ordering page)
It chargers both batteries simultaneously, and can be used with 12V DC power.

Dolgin's Charger

Wanted to make sure that everyone knew that Dolgin's 4-port charger rocked my filming trip through Asia. Power was no problem -- even with the different voltages throughout Asia; and I could charge 8 batteries in the time I used to take to charge 2. Sturdy and useful; it will go on every trip I take. Thanks to dvxuser for steering me to an awesome custom product.
