The opening sequence of this movie is awesome. Where do you edit something like this? I want to try a similar effect in After Effects but syncing to music will be impossible. It's easy in Final Cut to do the syncing, but I want the majority of my effects in AE.

How do I go about doing this?

After Effects is not the best program to sync audio to. Other than timing out cue points on a program like fcp, there are a couple ways to assist you but nothing to definitive.

- Hold cmd and option (mac) or ctrl and alt (pc) as you scrub audio on the comps timeline to listen to the audio WITHOUT video
- Hold cmd (mac) or ctrl (pc) as you scrub audio on the comps timeline to listen to the audio WITH video
- if you select the layer with the audio hit "L" twice and you will get the waveform to open up.
